We have heard that you can easily get a Vietnamese visa in Phnom Pehn. Can anyone corroborate this? If they are easy to get how long do they normally last for, how much do they cost and where in Phnom Pehn in the best place to get them.
Sorry its a lot of questions but would really like some advice. xx

Alex,
Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville are probably the fastest and cheapest cities to get your VN visa. The guy running the VN consulate out of his home in Sihanoukville will hand you your visa while you stand there and chat with him, 15 minutes, $30. The official price is $25 for a VN visa in Cambodia. You are not going to get it for $25, but it is still cheaper than getting one in the UK before you leave home. I paid $40 to the San Francisco consulate for a one month VN visa when I flew into HaNoi.

Check with your GH once in PP. Most GHs will get your VN visa for you. Fast costs more. Do not bother trying to get it from the VN embassy. Not worth your time to save a few dollars. Capitol GH charges about $35 if you want one day service. I use Lucky, Lucky Motorcycle Rentals on Monivong Blvd, just 1 blocks from Capitol GH. They charge $28 for one day service. I have used them 3 times, professional & pleasant. I also use them to rent a motorbike when I need one or cash a travel check.

I have plenty of VN & Cambodian photos in my gallery. Send me a PM if you have questions.
