i've been to just a few countries in asia so far. i loved japan (though more expensive than seasia).tokyo is a huge with lots of interesting people watching. however, some of the best parts of my trip were outside of tokyo. i climbed mt fuji (only climb during july/aug), went to Hiroshima, saw temples in Kyoto and went to Osaka. I found it easy to get around as the transportation had japanese and english signs and it runs really smoothly. hong kong was cool but i wouldn't spend that much time there. i went during the chinese new year which was amazing though : ) i've also been to thailand and the philippines. I can;t say much about the philippines as i was there staying with relatives over the holidays so didn't do much. manila was pretty hectic though and polluted. thailand was relaxing. I stayed way too long in the patong/phuket area and should have moved onto ko phi phi much earlier. its gorgeous there! hoping to see more of asia next year as well!
