Hi Tim!

Had a look at the following websites and I must say Laesoe seems worth a visit anyway

Læsø is definately worth a visit. One of the more special islands of denmark. I'm shure that to go there you would have to take a ferry from Frederikshavn wich can be reached by train from every major city in denmark. haven't been there my self, but in Denmark Læsø is primarily knowned for its salt (by the way far the best salt i ever tried :D) and for its houses thick seaweed roofs. Historicaly the men on læsø was sailors and work in the fields where considered women's area. if you are interested in danish geneology you might check out these websites: (a database of all churchbooks and censuses from the 17th century until 1892) (a database with very easy acces to censuses and accounts of immigration until 1921) (a forum where you can ask other about geneology and help. there's also a forum for foreigners searching relatives in Denmark.

hope it's usefull
