Where is the best place to go in India, I don't want to go somewhere where it is too poor and females get followed everywhere but I want to experience it.

Can anyone recommend the best part for me, any advice appreciated.

there are a lot of good places in India. Rather most of the places in india are worth a visit. Bombay is definitely worth a dekko. Delhi, Agra, Goa, Humpi, Kolkatta, Chennai, Rajasthan can't be missed. Not aware of any places in India, where men do not admire or follow attractive females.

Hi Alice

I am Georgey aged 39 living in Southern part of INDIA called Kerala. You know Kerala is a
best place to see in INDIA. There are beaches, backwaters, hills, plantations, wild life etc.
etc. And it is a small State to go around and living expenses are low.

Alice, the key is to travel light in India..

I definitely recommend Goa and Bangalore in the South. The people are great and Bangalore is quite cosmopolitan without the crazy rush of Bombay..Mysore in Karnataka is always worth the effort especially the magnificently lit Palace at night..

Always carry around sufficient bottles of drinking water and you'll find that nearly everyone can speak english. Travelling from Bangalore to Mysore via the Shatabdi a very luxurious and fast train..

Most importantly, experience new things and enjoy yourself!

Cheers :)

How many days do you have to spend in India.? and what do you like most? beaches, mountains,palaces...?
You know india is so big a country and you cannot travel to all places within the available time.
If you reply to above, may be you can get a workable schedule.
