Please, folks, I am wondering what is up Bucharest: what to visit in short day trips and also about its nightlife (from friday to sunday), please!
cheers!
What to do in Bucharest and surroundings?
Hello Csfreixo
In Bucharest u could visit Chauchescos(not sure if I spelled that right. He was the last communist dictator of Romania) palace.
There is also a farmers market in Bucharest, where u can buy food and hang out in the bars and cafes beside it.
The night life I had in Bucharest was parties in peoples houses, which I was invited to. I did not try any clubs or bars, at night.

Hi, for a short day trip to Bucharest I suggest you visit Parliament House (second largest building in the world - after Pentagon), Village Museum (great place with houses and traditional art ), Antipa Museum, Snagov Lake (where Vlad the Impailpr is thought to be burried), the Triumph Arch, National Museum of Art, the Athenaeum, and many places. (of course Ceausescu's house!)
About the clubs - don't worry. There are a great number of them, for everyone's taste
(http://www.sapteseri.ro/index.php?page=club&ln=3&city=1)-you can find more following this link.
Hope this helped.
Have a great time here in Romania.
Luci.
