Hi! I'm going to NZ in 2008 and wanted to know if there are any good tours that show you places filmed in LOTR? Thanks!

I'm sure there are many tours but I did this one which I thought was pretty good:

it starts at Matamata which is near Hamilton.

Hiya,

I didn't do any tours in New Zealand but we did visit DeerPark Heights about 5km north east of Queenstown on the way to the remarkables.

Theres a map you can get when you enter the park that tells you the locations and what scenes were filmed there.
The views of the remarkables and around Queenstown are amazing. I really reccomend a visit if you get time.

If you do the Dart River Safari at Glenorchy you see a few good locations, including Isengard and a good view of the Snowy Mountains! Also it happens to be one of the most beautiful places going, and it's not too far from Queenstown.
