i just returned from a semester in chile and want to return for yet another. instead of flying there, id like to take 3-5 weeks driving, via the panamerican highway. im planning on leaving early jan 2005 and arriving some time in feb.
im up for anything. so, if anybody has an ideas, tips, or wants to go, let me know.
im a pretty laid back guy and i try not to let the little sh#@ bother me. ive traveled to nearly 20 countries around the world, so i do have intimiate knowledge and experience of the ups, downs, and all the other crazy possibilities that stem from traveling.
im pretty normal. i like to drink a few beers, surf a little, read, have coffee in the morning, and laugh until i snort (hey, we've all done it).

hey, wanna drive down there with me in late oct/nov 04 instead? I'm planning on taking my vw camper. I live in seattle. My final destination is BA, AR, but would follow the panamerican hwy to Santiago, chile.

Question, did you do your semester in Valpo?

Too bad you didn't study geography-if you did you'd find out that the Darien Peninsula is a roadless wilderness.
Shipping your car from Panama to Colombia or Ecuador is your only option-there are no ferries. This can take a month or more due to shipping schedules
