I have heard so many people saying about these huts for only 5 pounds a night or less and they are right on the beach. Which beaches in what areas of Thailand as they sound great! Cheers.

Yes you can find it in Thailand but may be very hard from internet.

You have to walk and ask hotel directly.I think almost of them is service apartment

Pattaya and cha-am may be the best choice for you

Most islands in Thailand will have some options for beach huts. as the previous post says its best just to turn up - a guide like lonely planet would outline accommodation options for specific islands/beaches. £5 a night is probably about right, obviously less if it's split between 2.
not sure about Pattaya as a recommendation though ;)

Best value for money I stayed in were on Ko Lanta, about £3.50 per night, and really nice to boot.

Hello Katyvose1 :)

I stayed in one for 150 Bahts(just over 3 Euros) per night on Koh Pha Ngan.
It was on Ao Cholok Lam beach, on the north of the island.
Just walk onto the beach from the village, where the bus will drop u.
Turn right when u get onto the beach.
Walk for 5 minutes, until u get to Sarisas place.
I stayed in the huts to the right(when I had my back to the sea) of Sarisas place.
Sarisas place also has huts for that price.

Forget Pattaya, but there are some lesser known islands that still have the cheap beach huts that you are looking for. Many of the small islands off Krabi still have the 100-300 baht huts. Take a look at ''. Your best bet is stop in Krabi and go into several of the travel shops. Tell them what you are looking for and your price range. They have photos of the resorts and bungalows to show you. I am sure you will find something that will be suitable for your budget. Have a great trip.
