driving licence valid in OZ?

HI Guys

Can anybody tell me if my British passport will be valid in Australia. I have been driving for nearly 5 years in the UK.
Also, do I need to take my paper documentation or is the card enough?

As long as you're not emigrating to Australia, your overseas drivers license is valid.

Card is just fine. Nobody uses those old paper ones, that you guys use to have

You can use it for one year, same as we can use ours over in the UK for a year before having to get a local license. Watch the Aussie drivers, they are no where near as polite as the poms
