Dinosaurs were not around then - but definitely your mom and dad and maybe you in sperm and egg form. So you're ancient too! Now how does it feel to be a dinosaur at 17?

But seriously, if you find this interesting I can really recommend that you visit the Ukraine. When I was there in 2005 I felt like I had gone through a timewarp 16 years back. It was amazing. The Ukraine is a very nice country, lots of things to see and do and very cheap to travel in compared to the rest of Europe. If you (like many others US-Americans here) plan to make a trip to Europe after you graduate from highschool, put it on your agenda.:)

My parents took us to England when I was 9, although I might have made it to Canada that year as well. One or the other!

UK (England) for me via Perth (Australia), Singapore and Muscat (Oman). Glad you don't have to fly that way to get from NZ to Europe anymore! :)

When my Mum was pregnant with me, my parents did a trip to Russia. Does that count? Otherwise it would probably be Switzerland in the early 1980s, as we used to have a holiday appartment there. I remember that I loved the marmots and always wanted to go and feed them with carrots. Memories from the childhood ;).
