the First Country you Visited

My first intercontinental trip was to Niagra Falls with the fam, but my first trip abroad was to England with my best friend when I was 15. It's funny how in awe I was with a culture quite similar to my own. After visiting quite different cultures I feel almost silly for feeling so amazed.

I presume that would have been Germany. My family lives near to the German Border, so I can imagine, that I must have visited Germany, just a couple om months old. (But I can't remember, and if it wasn't Germany, it must have been Belgium, as my parents never flew on vacations)
