Hey all,

I'm from North Carolina, USA, but having been living and working abroad for most of the last five years, first as a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama, later as an English teacher in Japan, and now volunteering with an NGO/non-profit tour company in Cambodia. I keep thinking I get closer to settling down, but each new adventure makes that idea seem rather stale. I visited a fortune teller this week, and she too seemed to think I wouldn't settle down any time soon and have a long life abroad ahead of me...or rather, so said her cards.

Its great to be working in a developing country again, especially with folks who enjoy travel and culture as much as I do. More so, its refreshing to work with an organization and people who are quite aware of the impact we travelers have on the places we visit, and who are trying hard to ensure that impact is positive, responsible, and contributes to those places.

I am eager to meet others who are interested in volun-tourism and responsible adventure travel, and hear their ideas, and about how others are "being the change".
