Ok guys and girls, 2007 is about to come to an end and I hope we all have made fantastic travels this year.
But after the abundant food and drinks of Christmas and Newyears, it is time to loose that weight again by tough travelling right?
I have lots of wishes regarding travelling next year, but haven't really planned anything. Although it is pretty sure that I am going to Brazil for about a month to visit the Amazone, Pantanal and the Iguasu Falls.
So, what are your plans for next year?
Cheers! Michael

2007 was not bad for me,took one of the last KLM flights to Peru before they stopt flying via Bonaire,
travelled to Cuba and Jamaica because also Air Jamaica will stop there flights to Bonaire in 2008.
right now I have planed "only" my Antarctica Cruise which will start in February 2008.Of course will I spend again a few days in Buenos Aires.
Since I have to fly via Quito I will take the oportunity to spend a few days with my godchild in San Antonio de Ibarra.
so I will be gone the whole Feb.
what about the rest of the year?this I dont know yet but for sure 1 or 2 visits to Ecuador again.Brasil is very high on my list,so I hope you Michael can give me good recommendations if you go before I do it.
cheers,Marlis

My own back yard - that's all I can afford... Think Dorothy after returning from (The Land of) OZ...

Well, I'll be ringing in 2008 abroad, so that will get me off to a good start! Today we booked our tix for two months in South Africa to avoid the rest of winter when we get home. We are going to couple the holiday with some business to eek out a couple of extra weeks! So long cold february and march, hello sunshine! I'll keep my fingers crossed that something else exciting comes up before the rest of the year wraps up...I'm very optimistic that it will!

I hoping to make it to India and Nepal, including either Everest Base camp or annapurna-- In the early planning stages, and if all goes well and I can afford it, I may be gone for a few months in the late fall of 2008....

Well, I'll be saying hello to 2008 on Hat Rinn in Thailand. But since I'm living in Japan at the moment I suspect I'll concentrate my travels this year on Northeast Asia and see as much of this country as I can as well as Korea and a bit of China. I'm also thinking that when I do head home I should do so via the Trans-mongolian. I've been meaning to do that for years.
