i am trying to find something around Bariloche or Las Lenas for 50-100 USD

Is that $50.00 - $100.00 USD or $50,000 - $100,000USD?

Lots of properties are available if it's the latter. One thing to keep in mind when buying property in a foreign country - you may purchase the property but you do not hold title to the land. Research Argentinian real estate laws before plopping down any money as you could end up owning nothing including the right to live there.

50,000 to 100,000 usd. yeah i did do some reasearch you have to pay 30% tax on the property you buy. but after one year you get the 30% back. so its not so good for domestic investment but for foreign investment it is a good sitituation

Parts, if not all, of Mexico are a prime example of people buying property and then finding out they don't really own it. Non-citizens can not hold title in Mexico. Someone will gladly sell you their house or land but title does not transfer. There have been many Americans and Europeans, especially along beachfronts, who have been displaced because either the owners changed their minds some time later or the property was sold without the owner's permission. The real estate scams are abundant in Mexico, Central and South America. If you do intend to buy, be sure title transfers and that a non-citizen can hold that title.

Hmm, if you were interested in something (a hostel) in Buenos Aires I'd have a suggestion :)

The 30% rule doesn't actually apply in all cases. I'm not entirely sure of when it does or doesn't apply, but I could probably find out for you. One thing I've learned having been dealing with this a little lately is that it's a minefield. There's an incredible amount of little taxes and fees that need paying all over the place. Be sure that if you go through a realtor that they are reputable and just give you one flat cost up front. At least that saves you having to try and figure out Arentinian legislation where a lot of payments happen kind of on the border of the law. It's not strange because of the bureaucracy, but it's intimidating for a first time buyer there. Another interesting thing is that most places are paid for cash. So people will actually have to walk down the street carrying a few hundred grand cash...scary stuff!
