Hi everyone,

My girlfriend and I are going to be going travelling for 7 month travelling going to New Zealand, Australia, INdia, Thailand, China and Hong Kong.

We are likely to be doing a lot of sports such as Zorbing and sky diving etc.

What are the best insurance companies to look at? Any decent suggestions?

Many thanks

I find Insureandgo are quite good too, i always get their gold cover as there isnt much difference between policy prices

When I did my round the world trip I booked with Nomads as I found it to be the best all round cover but luckily never had to claim and so not sure if it would of worked out. I hear Insure and go are the most current best all round cover if you are travelling for a long duration.

All the best

I also went with insureandgo after looking at many different policies. I'd say they're definitely the best price-wise and still covers you for some of the extreme sports you might want to do as well, even on their bronze policy. Almost half the price of some "specialist gap year" insurance quotes.

I've found quite a lot of policies don't include skydiving as standard, even on some 'gold' policies, so you have to pay for extra cover for this. Worth double-checking. STA's Premier policy seems good to me, bit more expensive than most, but gives higher value of coverage for some things if you compare the details

Currently looking for insurance myself need one that covers me for work in ozzie outback and apart from real gap cant seem to find any that cover this.....?..
STA looks good although I had a couple of friends that needed to claim and said they were a nightmare.
Nomads has got the best feedback although im not sure if they cover work with machinery etc?..
Any tips would be great
