Hi everyone!

I am planning to visit Brasilia next summer. Will be staying for 5 days (no weekend) so looking for a reasonably (read cheapish) accommodation that has a good location and is safe. So far found Hotel Bristol, but wondering if anyone can reccommend something cheaper.

many thanks

Adam,

So you're coming to Brazil again! Nice to know that.

Brasília is not a cheap city, as many capitals in the world. However, we have a HI hostel here. Take a look at the site: http://www.albergues.com.br/?gclid=CM2koezWtJECFQkYewodHiUvvg.
And this too: http://www.infobrasilia.com.br/albergue.htm

I've seen the place once or twice, but I don't know how it is inside. The place where it is placed is not very far away from the touristic places. If you like (really like!) to walk, you could do without taxis or buses for some visits, but not for all.

Here's a very interesting site about hotels in Brasília: http://www.geocities.com/TheTropics/3416/hotel.htm

Bristol is not a new hotel, and probably it is not the best one in town, but the location is great. If you could tell me how does their fares cost, I could help you to find a better deal.

I've been living in Brasilia for the last seven years and I just love the city, even though it has it's problems as any place in the world. In my gallery, you will find some pictures that you might like to see. Take a look ate the sunsets. People say that the sea of Brasília is the sky!

Let's keep in touch. It will be a plesure to help you on this trip.

Best regards,

Emerson
