Hey all

A friend and I (both 22 yr old females from Australia) will be travelling to south and central america from mid nov 08 to mid feb 09, 3 months.

The following are countries we're thinking of visiting, chile, peru, ecuador, bolivia, venzuela, costa rica, belize, mexico, cuba, brazil, argentina and uruguay. We havent decided on the order or where we'll be going excatly, besides the inca trail which we plan on doing at the end of nov or start of dec.

Anyone else going at around that time?

I'm a 20 year old male from Bris.

I just booked my flight from Sydney to Rio De Janeiro.

I will get into Rio just before New Years Eve 08, where I'll do a language course for a couple of weeks before going up and down the coast for a couple of weeks. I will then make my way to Salvador for Carnaval before heading back in earl March 2009.

I will be traveling by myself, and will be hoping to meet up with some Brazilians I know.

Hi everybody! I will flying into Quito, Ecuador on the 11th August. The first 3 weeks I am planning on climbing the three highest volcanoes / mountains in the country, then over to the Galapagos Islands where I will be sailing & scuba diving. On the 7th Sept I will be back in Quito for a week on a homestay and learning spanish. After that I will be backpacking south to Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile. I leave Chile on the 10th November.

I am planning a trip to be away for christmas and new year. The ideal plan sees me leaving early december and returning mid to late January.

The idea is to start at Galapagos then head to Peru for Nazcar, Titicaca, Cuzco and the inca traills with sunrise at Machu Picchu on at least one day possibly more. Then on to the amazon for a few days and couple of nights. Depending on costs then on to Mexico for Aztec and mayan ruins such as Quetzlcoatal. Then back to Ecuador for a bit of trekking and a few nights along the Equator.

If anyone would like to plan a similar trip I'd be keen to share ideas and the trip as a companion for some or all of the time!!

I'm a 33 outgoing funloving male who talks to just about anyone!!!

I'll be traveling to South America in December 2008 - January 2009. My plan is to fly into Buenos Aires on December 29 and celebrate New Year's in Buenos Aires, then travel up the coast of Uruguay and southern Brazil (Colonia de Sacramento, Montevideo, Punta del Diablo, Uruguay and Florianopolis, Brazil). The length of my travel will be about 3-4 weeks. If anyone has similar plans and wants to meet up or travel together, then send me a pm.

I'm brazilian, female, 29 y. old, going to Peru on Aug. 28th. I'll be around for about 17 days, starting at Lima and heading to Pisco, Nazca, Arequipa, Puno, Cuzco and Huaraz. If anyone should be there at the same time, we could meet...
Also, anyone visiting Brazil and needing some help, please let me know! I live in São Paulo and used to work in a hostel and as a guide tour. Now I work at the bus station Tietê, so I think I can help you with some planning as well.
All the best!
