You could get a megabus too which is quite cheap. I don't know about normal buses but there are trains regularly too. It's not far at all...45 miles or so.
Hi,
get the train.... a tiny bit more expensive, but much quicker and gets you from city centre to city centre.
Taffski
There are several companies that run buses from Glasgow to Edinburgh, the cheapest way is to buy tickets in advance online (e.g. from Megabus), but if you just turn up at Buchanan Street Bus Station you certainly won't be stuck for options.
thank you so much, guys.
Megabus and CityLink run buses maybe as cheap as £2 for megabus just depends on the time of day. The train is my prefered option it takes less than an hour but its about£9 one way. The bus is fine but think it takes 1hr 15 or so and you need to watch as traffic in and out of glasgow can be mental.
I took the Megabus option, booked online as I knew when I was going to be there, and saved a small fortune. National express wanted about 20 pounds but only 1.50 with Megabus, so it pays to shop around.
