Learning Spanish in Bolivia

Travel Forums Central/South America & The Caribbean Learning Spanish in Bolivia

I've been in SA for 3.5 months with my wife now and although I only have 2.5 months more we've decided to do a week of classes somewhere very soon. Chances are we will travel here again and we love Spain too so it makes sense albeit perhaps a bit late (although they say it's never too late).

We've picked up a bit so far and did some classes in Scotland 2 years ago already.

Anyway, has anyone got any recommendations for such classes in Bolivia? Alternatively we are in Salta at the moment so north west Argentina may be good too.

Perhaps even include a home stay.

Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

Argentine Spanish is not overly useful elsewhere, plus it may be nice to have your classes somewhere less touristy. Have a look here

che tomar classes en Salta.
I learned spanish in argentina, salta, and found I enjoyed alot more than Bolivian Spanish. I don't agree at all that argentine spanish is not useful anywhere besides argentina. Living in the u.s its extremly usefull as their is a large spanish-speaking population. I have no problem communicating.

Thanksfor the tip Tyler.

My wife and I start classes tomorrow that we organised through a hostel (Terra Oculta). With any luck the week will go well and we'll enter Bolivia for the better.

Will let everyone know how the classes go.

Price was 270 peso's each for 20 hours. About 80 USD.

Great investment I hope.
