You must be hurry to beat the traffic. I am not sure by bus but maybe you can reach on time by cab. Ask them to drive like Queen Latifah.

Less than two hours to get from Runway to KSR is a bit tight.

I've never got a taxi but the airport bus is pretty frequent and direct and it still takes the best part of an hour. I think Rush hour is kind of 24/7 in Bangkok, but at that time it might be even worse. I can't imagine a taxi being a whole lot quicker but I expect someone on here willl know.

If its possible, would try to arrange to meet your friends later, because you never know your flight/baggage collection/immigration queue might be delayed a bit too. Thats got to be better than getting stressed.

That's a rough trip anyway you cut it, and that time of the afternoon traffic is going to be nasty. And if your arrival day falls on Friday, that will make it even worse. Best bet is to get a taxi (now located on the same floor as baggage claim). Just wade through the sea of sleezeballs wearing suits (who will try to get you into one of their more expensive limo taxis) and walk outside to the proper taxi stand. And then pray.
