NZ in January will be hot and busy. It's the busiest tourist time so make sure that you do book all of your accommodation and transport ahead of time.
Fiji in February will be very hot, rainy and humid. It's better to visit Fiji in the Autumn/Winter (April - September).

It will depend on where you are staying. In all of the major cities and tourist areas, you will need to prebook. January is very very busy as it's the summer holidays and most people are travelling.

I'm visiting Laos Cambodia and Vietnam during June July and half of August, this is the wet season but I have looked into it and got some really good advice from people on this website. From what I can gather it's still a really good time to visit, the rain will hammer down for 0-4 hours a day and occasionally all day but apart from that the weather is fine, also the crush of travellers/tourist will be down and with that so will prices. I'm just going to buy a good umbrella..Bring it on!!!!

I would defintely book your accommodation in advance for NZ as January is heaving with tourists.

as rubymurray says, during the rainy season in Asia it only rains for part of the day and its generally ok to travel during this time. the only problems i have heard of is that some islands become inaccessible because of rough seas.

america.......march to may ???

March to May in the US can be quite interesting (weather-wise) depending on your intended destinations. Early March in the midwest and east coast regions will have temperatures hovering around 5C. These will increase gradually to around 18-22C by the end of May. Depending on the airflow out of Canada, March can still see occassional snowfalls and the ground snow melting process is just beginning. May would actually be the better time to visit these regions as the snow will be gone and the spring flowers will be starting to bloom. Up here, you will appreciate a funky pair of golashes and a raincoat. (Good for splashing in the puddles.)

It mid section of the US will have warmer temps though spring thunderstorms are not uncommon. That area is also known as tornado alley. It's mostly (relatively) flat agricultural land (ex-prairie) which allows the storms to move across regularly. States such as Colorado and Utah will have comfortable temps in the lower regions though the mountains may still have snow and some National Parks won't have the upper passes open until May.

The south, southwest and west coast will be fine March through May. Currently, Florida is experiencing temps right around 24C. California will range from 16-27C depending on the location - cooler in the northern areas.

Do you have specific areas/cities you plan to visit?
