Does anybody know of any decent travel companies from the uk that provide good and not overly priced guided tour packages of Thailand,

Thanks for the help in advance ;)

Hi Jon and Jane
If I were you, which obviously I'm not, I would seriously consider arranging your own flights, or getting a travel agent in the UK to arrange your flights only.

Then you could either arrange your tour when you get here, or possibly more suitably, and definitely more cheaply than a high street travel agent, get reliable agents here in Thailand to arrange your trip.

I am from England and have travelled throughout Thailand, not just as a budget backpacker, but also as someone who is happy to pay for some luxury, and for someone else to make arrangements / suggestions for me.

I have a company that can arrange the North Thailand section of your trip, and there are many others that can arrange your Southern / Beach and Bangkok / Central sections.

If you would like further info / assistance please mail me, or see

I know one that is really good but Australia based, however you can easily book with them on line- Intrepid tours. They are really relaxed backpacker style, and do things with that budget in mind.

Otherwise, thailand really is easy to get around and find your own way if your up for a bit more adventure!

good luck!

just to agree the intrepid tours in thailand look really good- dont know if you've checked them out yet but we're undertaking one in northen thailand next year for just over £300 for 15 days.
you can book on line but if you wanted the brochure we got ours from Sta Travel. i think it made it easier to make comparisions- they had quite a lot of choice for thailand! and most have elephant riding (we're looking forward to that :)
