Islands like Tahiti, Palau or Fiji sound great...

I think the mountains are quite romantic - spent part of our honeymoon there! What's your budget? You could do a nice B&B or stay at the granddaddy - Grove Park Inn ( great spa!) or Inn at Biltmore. Or, you could rent a cabin. You might also consider the Boone/Blowing Rock area - a place such as Chetola Resort. I highly recommend the Bob Timberlake Inn there.

To me, the only lodging option at the beach is ocean front. Not much else is picturesque. but in the mountains, there's a view around every corner! There are also great hikes and historical things to see..and shopping and dining.... more variety.

Thanks & Regards:-

Having lived in niagara falls for a time when I was younger and still having family there...I can recommend NOT getting married there. Too's sad because it actually has some beauitful parts to it but tourism has taken away from that.

A top wedding planning site (won't mention it here due to forum rules) listed the following as their top 10 most romantic venues for honeymoons:

1. Buenos Aires
2. Bora Bora
3. Dubrovnik
4. Halong Bay
5. Nevis
6. Paris
7. Quebec City
8. Santa Barbara
9. Santorini
10. Venice

I've enjoyed the ones of these I've been to, but Bora Bora (where I haven't been) looks interesting:
