Travel Forums North America Cheapest flights from US

As part of our RTW trip, our last stop will be US/Canada. The problem is we don't want to fly back home after travelling a year firstly as neither my fiance or I like flying but also I can't imagine getting on a plane after a year travelling and 10hours later it's over - so we're going to get a boat back. There are quite a few trans-atlantic cruise deals which if you buy less then a month before leaving would work out about £700 for both of us to travel back (not including food etc) and will either end us in England, Spain or Italy - Any of which would be fine. BUT the problem is we will be in US/Canada fo more like 2/3months and then the prices of trans atlantic crossing increase dramatically. Reasingprevious posts we will be booking ourselves a flight out of the US BUT as we have no intention of using it - it makes no difference where it goes to. So my question is does anybody know, or know where to find out the absolute cheapest flight that leaves anywhere in US to any other country so we can show proof of onward travel???

I suggest Fort Lauderdale, Miami (FLL) to Nassau, Bahamas (NAS) on a Tuesday via Bahamasair. Current price is $82 per person one-way.

If for some reason you can't get this flight, book Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Nassau or to Freeport, Bahamas via Bahamasair. Prices on these flights are around $95 or so.

Sorry that we don't have cheaper international flights (believe me, it's bad us, too).

Thanks for that - i've just managed to find a one way ticket on the route you suggested for $57.40 including taxes & fees through Spirit Airlines - it's annoying we'll have to wirte off that money but at least it's much cheaper then anything else i've looked at!!

Hey, I forgot about Spirit Airlines. I'm glad you were able to beat my fare--and keep the "write-off" cost low.

Here's hoping you can enjoy your US trip--and not have anymore unnecessary expenses.
