Me and a friend are going to USA for a road trip - from New York - Miami then Miami - take half of route 66 to LA. Is this possible, we got 4 weeks to do it on, or is it to far? How long do time do we need from New York to Miami/Florida? We want to go to Disneyland there;) hihi...
Any Tips?

If you drive about 5 hours each day, it takes about 4 days to drive from New York to Miami. Plan to drive from New York to Washington on day 1. Plan to go to around Raleigh, North Carolina on Day 2. Plan to drive to Jacksonville, Florida or Orlando on Day 3, and plan to drive to Miami on Day 4.

Obviously, I would suggest you stop and see things on the way, so this means it will take about 6 to 7 days instead of 4--but it can be done in 4. I'd definitely stop in Washington, D.C. and either in Orlando, Florida or in Daytona Beach, Florida. You might also want to see the Space Center on the east coast of Florida (near Cocoa Beach)--especially if they are having a space shuttle takeoff while you are there.

If you want to take a little extra time, some other places worth visiting are:
Williamsburg, Virginia (original capital of Virginia--and it has been kept exactly like it was in the 1760s period, including having actors that play the parts of the people that lived there during that time)
Atlanta, Georgia (largest city in the southern US)
Mount Vernon, Virginia (George Washington's home)
Charlottesville, Virginia--there is an interesting home called Montecello (Thomas Jefferson's home) and this city is also the location of one of the major battles of the Civil War
Outer Banks, North Carolina
Ashville, North Carolina

Then plan on another 8 days to go across the US (but give yourself at least 12--and preferably more days so you can stop at places of interest--like New Orleans or Memphis, Austin, Santa Fe, Las Vegas, and either some national parks or a visit to San Diego or San Francisco.
