Has anyone taken the boat from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap? If so, is it worth it? I plan on going at the end of June, rainy season, any issues there? How long does it take? I heard 5 hour and 9 hours and same for the bus.

Mort,
I have done both ways and will try to help. The boat is much more expensive, a rip off actually. the Locals pay about $15, we pay $22-25. Whatever the traffic will bear. But, the boat can be more fun and does offer some scenic views on the river and Tonle Sap. If you are a bit short of money, take the bus. If the weather is OK and you want the experience, shop around for the best price for the boat. I do have some photos of the boat trip in my photo gallery. Either way, Angkor should not be missed if you are in Cambodia. Good luck to you.
