what is the best film you've seen this year? I'd have to say "he loves me, he loves me not"....a french film i saw in DC. very very interesting and eerie actually. will leave it short to think of other ?'s and topics in off topic.

I've seen so few films this year .. quite unlike myself really. Anyway, one that I saw
which I really enjoyed was a french documentary: 'The gleaners and I' - it was
all about modern day 'gleaning' (ie.. picking up leftovers); from picking up leftover
potatoes, to picking up leftovers from the market and junk from scrap heaps.. Really
simply done, but a great story and beautifully told.
seems to be a bit of a french slant so far 
Best film huh.... well, Matrix2 was fun. So was T3 and I had a good laugh at Pirates of the Caribbean this past week. Nothing too 'deep' from this end at the moment. Just enjoying good flicks and relaxing. Have seen quite a few rubbish movies too though so any good tips would be welcome. More often than not, my fiancee and me find ourselves at a loss of what to rent because we've seen em all before!

Watched a weird film the other night called 'Dumplings'
A 60 year old lady has the answer to eternal life, which is why she looks like a 20 year old.
Set in Hong Kong, she performs abortions for chinese women who want rid of their unborn children, usually because they are female and considered of less value.
The 60 year old then cooks the foetus' and eats them. She also sells the dumplings she makes to the rich, who instantly feel amazing and begin to look younger and healthier.
Things go wrong however when she serves a rich lady a foetus that was created through incest.
Not your average Hollywood blockbuster I have to admit!!!

Only problem was I never got to see the end of it.. Some 'hot' girl wouldnt leave me alone to see the ending.
Hot Fuzz... sooo funny, had me rolling.
I have a rule that I only count films that I've seen the ending of. Might want to try that Beavis.

sarah when your hot your hot.. I will have to find a way of watchin the ending, maybe when she is cooking..No Ironing maybe.
