Quick question for you guys.......
Got the folks meeting us in Thailand around 12th Nov for a 3wk hol, now they've never been anywhere like it before only ever done package holidays etc so they're obviously in for a bit of a shock!!
Plan is to spend 3/4 days in Bangkok doing all the sightseeing and after that heading to the islands (or anywhere else anyone thinks would be good) for sunbathing, visiting places with stunning scenery etc etc. Nice accomodation that isn't too expensive that anyones been to would be handy to know too!
Obviously we need to try to have good weather wherever we go to help with the sunbathing bit!
So the question is......which islands do you recommend, where would be best weather wise and any extra advice you may have?!!
Cheers everyone!

Michelle,
I see you have already been to many places in Thailand. Why don't you decide once there? While in BKK you can make a decision on what side is having the best weather. The Krabi-Phi Phi area would be my first choice, but perhaps the Samui-Phangan side is having better weather during your stay. Either way, you can get from one side to the other in a few hours if you change your mind. Good Luck.

Hi,
We were in Phi Phi in late November and it was perfect! I'd say that would be a better place to bring your parents to than samui or Koh Phangan too. You could stay on long beach so your close to everything but not kept up all night by the music either IF the weather suited you could travel to koh lanta, phangna bay etc too.
Hope it goes well!

Why anyone would deliberately expose themselves to the equatorial sun, give the risks that carries is beyond me......however this is a good weather map....check out the rainfall figures for any popular destination in Thailand....
