Am also going to be in Thailand from the 2nd to 22nd of August. No real route yet, but hoping to meet up with some other travellers, see what happens kind of thing.
Planning on being on the gulf coast islands for the first week and a bit, then maybe head over to the other coast then up north...hmmm
anyone have a similar plan?

Hi I'm a 20 year old male english university student going alone to thailand between 23rd of august to 23rd september 2008. i went last year with a friend for a few weeks but we sort of got sick of each other - we had different agendas - he was there mostly for the sleaziness!
but this time i'd love to meet new people and have adventures and see more of the wonderful country. i am generally quite quiet but it all just depends on the situation. anyone male or female between say 18-24 or so looking for a travelling companion for part of the journey please contact me! just the thought of being alone in a foreign country is quite daunting for me. thanks joe
Hey people, I am going back to Phuket,Thailand for my second trip. Last year I went traveling over south east asia for 6 months and Phuket was by far my favourite place I met some great Swedish mates that invited me to come and stay with them in Sweden and I have been here since May!This time I am hoping to stay one or two years, I will be studying the TEFL certification there so I can teach English to support myself!I have found an apartment to rent in Patong,which is the main nightlife centre of Phuket. I went by myself last time and meeting people was no problem,so I hope it wont be this time around...but i always get pretty anxious the week before thinking what if I dont meet anyone and am stuck on my own for weeks on end 
haha!!I'm a 20 year old guy from London love to party,travel and have a good time!So anyone in the Phuket area after the 10th of August feel free to drop me a line if you want company or go out and party,as its my second trip I know all the local venues and resteraunts pretty well so I can be a good guide to phuket if you need one!

I would love to go to the laos,vietnam,cambodia, thailand in a sort of 1 to 2 mths backbacking trip. But it can only be done in May to July 2009. Is that ok?? In fact, we can start planning for the trip soon itself by getting a few others to join us. Preferably we can make a group of 4 to 5 ppl. Pls let me know your views. I'll be in chang mai from 23 aug till 2 sept.
Going to be there for a short course in hot compress, so i'll use this 10days for work/leisure 
Pls drop me a line if anyone is there at the same time! or any female travellers to co-share a room wil be great! am 30yo/f frm singapore, this is my 2nd trip to changmai.
i will depart either from singapore /KL, going towards bangkok/changmai, whichever convenient depending on airfares.

I'm arriving in Bangkok on October 9th, and flying out of Singapore on November 6th, I need to get from Bangkok to Singapore by myself. My 2 other travelling buddies have just pulled out on me, leaving me absolutely terrified but eager to go on.
