Hi all,
I want ro go away for 3-4 days and do nothing but lie on a beach... maybe even go diving. I'll be flying from London and I would prefer if it doesn't take me 4 plus hours to get there... a 1-2 hour flight would be perfect :-)
I'm considering the August bank holiday weekend...I believe the flights would be expensive...
I'm completely open to suggestions.... the only place i have in my mind right now is one of the Canary Islands....

Well it'll take you 4-5 hours to get to the canaries from London.
Ibiza or Majorca is more 1.5/2 hours way.
I've never been but try Dubrovnik in Croatia, it's meant to be really nice.
South of France? Nice?
Italy?
Costa del Sol?
All within 2/3 hours. Many choices

I atleast have something to build up on...
Cote D'Azur, Marbella, Naples area ... yes, might take a bit more than 2 hours to fly here or there but if you really stuck on those two hours you will probably stop at Lake Geneva. Nice too, but I don´t think that´s what you are looking for. 
edit: I forgot, how about the French coast at Bordeaux or the north coast of Spain round San Sebastian ?
