Anyone have any good experiences with hostels in Berlin, Vienna, or Prague?
I'm looking for cheap, fun, young hostels for someone traveling alone.
Berlin looks like its got a great selection - has anyone been to Wombats or Jetpak Original hostel?
any insight would be much appreciated!
In Prague I stayed at the Advantage Hostel - not great, not horrible. Did meet a good deal of nice people there and the breakfast is really nice for a hostel! Cleanliness is okay. If the place is full the amount of bathrooms is less than ideal. What I'd say overall is that this is a safe bet for something that won't be really crappy, but you might be able to find something better. Best of luck!
I stayed at the Advantage hostel too and would agree with Wonkerer's comments. I have heard good things about the Circus hostel in Berlin but haven't stayed there.
8 of us booked into the Prague Square Hostel at the start on Sept.
Any good?
Ay Up, Stayed at the circus Hostel in Berlin twice, very good hostel and great place for meeting young people from all over the world, 10 mins walk into town, wish i had found it 30 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i stayed at A-Plus hostel in prague and it was great! the bar stays open till 5am on the weekends and the restaurant is cheap and good! cheap beers, big screen tv and nice, clean room! only downfall was the communal showers (single sex), but since im used to going to the gym and having chicks walking around naked all the time, it was no biggie for me!
it was a great hostel! very central, clean, lots of ppl there!

But I will second the Circus Hostel in Berlin.
Yeah, I think I'll go with the Circus for Berlin, it looks pretty good. In Vienna the Wombat City Hostel - "The Base" is the best deal I can find. Any thoughts?
Also, I found a 17USD/night hostel in Prague thats pretty central called Chilli Hostel. Anyone been there?
Central and cheap is what's most important to me.

Wombats Hostel in Vienna is brilliant.......although there are two so make sure you know which one you are booked into. The rooms we stayed in were all fairly new and the dorms have ensuite bathrooms! Both hostels are also well placed for the trams if you want to use them. Hope this helps....Holly
