Hi all,

I'd like to ask advice from anyone out there.
I'm going to Whistler armed with a work visa and warm clothes at the end of November.

I know I'll miss the big recruitment fair and wonder what/how else to get a job - has anyone else gone out and done it? I want to know if it's easy or likely or if I'm going to fail miserably and run out of money!!

Also, I've heard some nasty rumours about accommodation being damn hard to get hold of if you're not rich or working for the people who own the mountains and run the recruitment fair. True? or any tips on cheap accommodation in the area?

Apart from that, any general advice on what to see in Vancouver for a couple of days and some encouragement and stories from people who've loved it out in Whistler over the ski season - I know there's loads of you!!

Thanks, anything would be more than I know right now!
Susie (UK).

I haven't been to Whistler yet but I found out that you don't need to worry about work. There's a staff shortage all season around. The problem is accomodation. It will be really difficult to find any good accomodation as what I heard. Especially when season already started they will ask crazy prices for renting half a room. I'll leave for Canada the 19th of October and will search for accomodation in Bannf, Fernie, Big White or some other place I get advised. Also awesome skiresorts as what I heard of.
Good luck
