Travelling to Paris Oct last week,2 day trip,Need Sugestions

I am making a stopover in Paris ,in Oct last week for 4 days .Need some suggestions ? I was thinking of spending 2 days in Paris and then visiting some near by places . Need some ideas on day trip from Paris .

The D-Day Beaches of Normandy and Mont St. Michel!

The Mont st michel is the best idea i think. You can take the TGV from Paris to St Malo and take a bus or rent a car to get the Mt st Michel.

Another idea is Bordeaux. You also can take the TGV (3 hours only), stay one night in Bordeaux. There are many restaurants and wine bars.

I agree with the D-Day beaches--beautiful and touching. It's a relatively short train ride up, too. You can also walk around Caen--it's a lovely city and the have the Memorial museum.

There's also Versailles, which is a day trip in itself.

Thank you all for your suggesstions . I would look into those options . Do you think I can make a 2 day trip to Switzerland from Paris by train/flight maybe ..?Is it feasible or just too far ,I was thinking of visiting 1 or 2 places if possible in the time frame ?
