I am planning to travel to Vancouver from 1st of December to 14th of December. Is it too long the traveling time during that time of year? In that condition of weather (cold), any suggestions on how I am going to spend the 14 days in Vancouver (or places around) for 14 days in Winter?

Thank you.

Hello. I was in Vancouver two years ago in December too. It wasn't particularly cold. Bear in mind cities tend to be much warmer and also it is the south of Canada. I also read that "During the winter, the average daily high and low temperatures are 8.2 °C (47 °F) and 3.6 °C (38 °F), respectively" in the south of BC, so it is obviously very mild.
I stayed in the Chinese district (because the cheapest hostel was there). It was actually really good. Everything was clean (of course don't expect beautiful rooms, they are kept extremely simple but you still have a TV and a fridge if my memory's good). I loved the Chinese district, I would have wanted to stay longer (than 10 days) but if you visit places properly, 14 days won't even be enough. Do take your time and go to the Chinese center and in shops, it's like a little adventure in itself. There is a Chinese garden at the Chinse center and it suddenly feels like you're in China. Very nice.
About the rest of Vancouver, I don't know that much, I've quickly travelled through it in bus but I was a little bit disappointed. It doesn't look as beautiful and colorful as the Chinese district but I'm sure there are plenty of nice things to see too. I've heard a lot too of Vancouver island where Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, is. Maybe you should take the ferry and go there too :)
I also read:
"Victoria's equable climate has also added to its reputation as the "City of Gardens". With its mild temperatures and plentiful sunshine, Victoria boasts gardens that are home to many plant species rarely found elsewhere in Canada."
You can get more information about Victoria here:
It's a pretty good link ;)

I am living in Vancouver working at the moment! Its so boring!

So to see the whole city and do everything you will need tops 2 days!

Head to Vancouver Island, then to Whistler, Banff etc. You can do a cool tour with moose tours!

Its summer here so not sure what the weather is like in Decemeber but your best bet is to head to the Rockies. Vancouver city is pretty but not much to do!

Hope this helps
