Hey up lass, You have not said how you are planning to move around on the Algarve, i.e. public transport or car hire? The train stops to some of the places are sometimes quite away from the towns you want to visit, and the bus is sometimes the best option. Tavira is worth a visit and is one of the places which is best served by the train from Faro. Lisboa is certainly a good few days, Sintra is about an hour on the train out of Lisboa. When i went with the mrs we were not all that impressed with Porto, but then again the weather was not that good . If you need anymore info give us a PM

Nice trip , (I'm new in this forum and in english too so please give me a chance :))
For Sintra just one day and it will be good, you can go with train to Lisbon and you walk some few minutes to go to the castle in Sintra.
It's a really cute town with nature and quite exotic weather.
The castel is strange but when you are into it's really great.

For Lisbon I think three days are enough.
You can take buses or tramway or you can walk but by feet it's a quite long because the town is only hills.

I hope you can see and heard some Fado the night in a pub in Alfama's part.

The center of the town is nice to shopping and with underground it's really quick to go it, station Baixa chiado.

So have a nice travel ;)
