ZEN is in JAPAN...

Zen in southeast Asia? probably in the university. Wait,I don't remember seeing monks in Vietnam.

I had a MA thesis on this subject. I'm in Laos and Buddhism here is nothing close to the vicinity of Zen.

I'm absolutely sure that there is zen in Vietnam also. I remember that I saw zen monks, when I was there in summer. In Lao is completely different kind of buddhism, namely theravada.
Anyway, tomorrow evening I'll be again in Vietnam and I'll try to find out there about vietnamese buddhism, (hope) also (mahayana and especially) zen.
I know also from web that there are zen monasteries in V., actually I was asking for some additional info.
Thanks, anyway.
