I'm going to be traveling RTW in a years time. I have started investing money to support my trip but I intend on putting most of it onto credit cards and an ATM card.
I have a Mastercard from BMO (Bank of Montreal), and I will also get a Visa card. Which banks seem to be the most internationally accepted? Also, are there any personal opinions on types of cards to bring? I was suggested to bring two credit cards for purchasing tickets and just incase something happens to one of the cards while travelling abroad.

Visa is the card to take. If possible, take 2 visa cards.

BTW, is there a Citibank near you? I happen to know that Citibank has a number of branches all over the world and if you have a citibank account you can easily withdraw cash without paying any fees from any Citibank ATM anywhere with your ATM card. Depending upon the countries you travel to it can be worth looking into.

Is taking 2 visa cards instead of 1 Mastercard and 1 Visa a suggested idea though?

and yes I think there's a citibank around me. I'm from Toronto so there's pretty much one of every bank somewhere here!
I was looking as HSBC as well and they have a whack load of branches around the world.
