So, I am looking for a new water bottle and wanted some advice. I have been using an aluminum one for the last couple of years, but with all this talk about alzheimers, etc, I figured it might be a good idea to look into an alternative. Ive heard good things about stainless steele, but I've also heard its a little heavier. Is it really that big of a difference? Also, I have checked out a few sites and this one, http://www.sustainabottley.com/ , really appealed to me, even though it seems to be kind of a small company, they seem to generally be interested in doing some good. I know the prices seem kind of steep, but it seems to be going to a good cause. I was wondering if anyone has ever ordered from them and what they thought? If there were any problems and stuff. Thanks.
Stainless Steele Water Bottles
Hi--well, I can't answer all your questions directly because I don't think i've ever seen an aluminium water bottle or ordered from the site you mentioned, but I do have a stainless steel water bottle and i love it a lot--i think it tastes slightly better than plastic (the old nalgene), and glass is unfortunately not durable enough for me to lug around everywhere! I have a Klean Kanteen --although I can't even tell you about my experience buying it because it was actually a gift from a friend.
I would suggest checking out any outdoor gear stores that you may have in your area--then you could get a feel for the weight, etc. of the bottle, and compare products, and hopefully talk to some knowledgeable staff!
