I'd like to talk to people who r going to Oz or New Zealand in Feb or March 2005. I'm 23F from Montreal Canada, and i'd like to chat with people here to be more comfortable with the idea of going alone for 4 months!!
don't be shy to contact me,

Hi Liann,

The best thing I've done to quash my nerves about going away on my own for 6 months is join these forums. Even though I know that you only go on your own, the rest of the time I'll be meeting up with loads of new people along the way, it has really helped knowing that there are so many other people who have gone through the same feeling about what it'll be like to just make the first move on your own :)

I'll be in Sydney over New Year and hope to see the rest of the important sights over the following months but hopefully will take it as it comes.

Have you made any plans for what you want to do?

hi Liann

I'm 23 and travelling at the beginning of Feb by myself too. I'm really nervous, but since being on this forum I've seen that so many people are doing the same thing I already feel better!

Feel free to get in touch - I'm sure it will be fun!

Hi Liann,

I'll be in NZ for xmas and plan to spend about 3 months travelling both islands then I'm off to Oz in March or April at the latest. If you fancy a chat, get in touch. I've made some good friends from these forums and plan to meet some of them along the way.

I'm going to australia in early January for a year or so. What city/cities are you planning on going to? Are you travelling all around the country or are staying in a couple of cities? I'm going to try to settle so I can hopefully find a decent job more easily. I'm flying into Melbourne and will probably stay there until it gets cold, then go up to Brisbane for their winter. I'm also a fellow canuck (from Vancouver) I'd love to meet up with some other people who are travelling by themselves, as I'm pretty anxious about the whole thing. What other plans do you have?

Hey Hey Liann and all of you !!!

I live just outside Montreal and I'm planning to be in New Zeland and Oz in January 2005. It's my first big trip and i was planning to stay 1 year !!! I'm a bit nervous, but the more i do some web surfing i discover people like you guys who are in the exact same situation has me !! thanks for making me feel less stressed :)

There is only one problem!! I don't exactly know were to start !! Nz or Oz

I want to work in Oz so my stay there will certainly be longer, but i was wondering if it's worth the hassles to work in NZ if i only plan to stay there for 3 months?

Any tips anyone ??
