NZ and Fiji - how long will £1k last me roughly?

Just wondered if anyone could give me a rough idea of how long £1000 will last me in NZ and Fiji (excluding flights)? I know its quite a broad Q but just looking for a rough idea

You won't spend much in Fiji, but New Zealand can be quite expensive. Especially if you are going bungy-jumpin etc

I would say spend £700-£800 in NZ for 5-6 weeks - maybe longer, maybe less depending on your activities. But NZ is a grrrrrreat country for activities - hiking on glaciers, bungy, canyon swing, quad biking, power boating, milford sounds, caving..... it is a stunning country with so much to do.

Fiji - check out Fiji Experience for ideas of islands to visit. You could just pick one and veg there for a couple of weeks. Not spending much.
