Maybe you should check out places in Wales? Loads of countryside, there's a mountain or two there I think. Quite a few sheep there I hear too. Living in Britain rain is practically a given :D. Plus you can do Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff & return for under a tenner. Alternatively, take a trip down south. Jump on the 376 bus (takes off from Marlborough St. bus station and goes past Temple Meads) this will take you into Somerset - Bridgwater, Street, Wells (where I live), Glastonbury etc. There's not a lot to see down this neck of the woods aside from Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury Abbey and a other tidbits. You won't get any trouble round these parts either. You can happily walk around Somerset at any time of the day or night and be safe.

You could try going north a bit too into Gloucestershire. Cirencester is a nice place. Not too sure what there is to do there. Although my step-brother was stationed there for UWE accomodation once and said the nightlife around the area is alright, but nothing great. There's loads of countryside too.

The Cotswolds is an area of outstanding natural beauty. There's going to be what you're after in most places around Somerset, Bath & NE Somerset, Wiltshire, even Worcestershire & Oxfordshire. I'd try looking here.

If you're interested in the Wells/Glastonbury/Street area then feel free to drop me a message. I live in the area so I could share my knowledge of the area if you need it.
