It seems that Termini is a very big area, and some say that there are certain places that is better other parts of Termini.
To anyone familiar with Termini area, which side would you prefer to stay?

Via Giovanni Giolitti side?
Via Marsala side?

Can you rate these hostels?
Popin hostel?

I stayed in Hostel Alessandro Palace in Marsala side before, pretty cool. Probably you wanna consider it as one of your options. ;)

Gullivers is certainly an intimate affair for Rome, Simon and Sara really know how to take care of their guests as do Marco and Mirella at Casa Olmata ,friendly neighbourhood, and they do spaghetti dinners on alternate nights with a night bus tour of Rome where you get to drink beer, eat peanuts and peep through a key hole to see the Vatican, tell Mirella Robyn sent you.
Alessandro Hostels in Rome are great too, don't get me wrong !
We saw Rome in a day, sounds unlikely, but the night tour was wonderful to cap off a full 9 hour walking day !!

I stayed in a guest house on the Via Giovanni Giolitti side a couple months ago. It was right down the other end of the station from where you come out, and i'm talking right down the other end! It's a bit seedier down there, the street we stayed in I wouldn't want to walk around alone at night. Nice guesthouse in the end but not a nice area!

I've heard great things about The Beehive in Rome, not sure where that is though.

I prefer the Via Marsala side personally.

I haven't stayed at any of those hotels, but I've stayed on Via Marsala and didn't have any problems.

Good luck,
