I was just wondering if anyone watches the TV program - Globe Trekker?

Before i went away on my RTW trip i use to watch this religiously ......I think the guy that presents it, Ian Wright (not the footballer!) is a bloody legend.

Anyone else a fan??

If you haven't seen it, it is on the travel program on Sky most days......have a butchers!

I watched it for years... but I am not a fan of Ian and his bloody accent. He had another show and it was about Luxury travel.

I guess I just ENVY him and the other travellers. Its always fun to watch. But I would love it even more if they only do What travellers can do. Its just stupid, when they have access to some restaurant and they start doing a COOKING show and not a travel show or when go backstage of a play or opera.

I have yet to see the perfect travel show.

The worst travel show is that show called, "TRAVELLERS", they should rename it to "PERKY TRAVELLERS".

In Oregon we get Globetrekkers on our PBS station, and I like all of the hosts. The other show I can't miss is the Amazing Race on CBS (USA only) - selected American couples (friends, married, divorced, gay, straight, whatever) have to perform certain feats and physically arrive at selected set points to stay in the race week after week (last year they went to Bolivia, NZ, Cambodia, India, Khazachstan, Russia and back to the USA), and the first couple to arrive at the final destination wins $1M in USD. I've been out of contact since I've been in SE Asia the past month, so I have no idea who's leading the current 2009 race (will have to see that show's website).
