I'm off to Thailand - Bangkok, the first week in the new year. My plan is to travel from Bangkok down into Malaysia and Indonesia, through the obvious places - finishing in Bali. From there i wish to experience Vietnam and Cambodia, before either ending up on a beach or back in Bangkok.

i have roughly 3 months and £2500. Is this plan feasible, how do i travel through the countries, especially from southern indonesia back to vietnam.

All tips and advice will be appreciated (and ignored as i get lost - hehe)

p.s. i'm travelling solo untill i meet my girlfriend either on the beach or in Bangkok.

cheers for your time

pps email me if you wish at -snip, use message center-

Hi Ben,

I fly to Bangkok on the 5th Jan so will be there at the same time as you if you fancy a cold beer.

Anyway, I'm no expert but your budget sounds alright to me, but I spose it depends if you like your luxuries or what activities you've got planned etc.

My plan is after Thailand I'd probably go around Cambodia and Vietnam and then head south through Malaysia down to Singapore from where I fly to Australia maybe late March.

i'm also keen to hear any travel tips or advice on must-see places and highlights etc.

Take care

From may try to book phuketair..I am not sure whether special promotion is applicable for only Thai national or foreigner too. ( Price around Baht 20,000 )

Once in Bangkok, you'd better stay in Khoa San area or Silom for fine hotel/budget guest house..Up to your preference. Many things to see and do here.

Enroute to South either by low cost airline ( airasia , nokair,onetwo-go) by bus(v.i.p). Different in price is around US$ 10/way I guess.

From South, pass to malaysia, singapore and catch flight to Bali/Indonesia-Vietnam-Cambodia-Bangkok-London

Ha ha ha..I could help just like this..I've never been outof Thailand. I could help for places in Thailand only.

Hope others could help you.
