hi, im planning the biggest trip of my life going it solo i think (advice on this would be appricated)

backpacking around europe and then moving onto asia and australia, and try and work america into my trip as well just basically a noob looking for some good advice, usefull tips and places that are must go and places which arent.

ive never really thought about doing anything like this before and know ive started to look into it i realise there is much time needed to plan, so i am looking at going around about 2011 and saving and preparing myself all year getting my route planned out and where im going to be staying or camping, and possibly working, (help on visas would be great aswell)

any advice would be greatly appricated

Wow, you really are preparing well in advance!
Welcome aboard - have a look round the forum/guides plenty of info to take in, should help to give you a rough idea of how you want to do this. Sounds like a great trip though, any questions feel free to ask and im sure someone will get back to you.

Hey yeah im kind of preparing myself for it all and hopefully to take in some amazing sceneray and just have an all round life. Hanging experience, ive had some very positive off the the site all the information has helped me in someway wether planning my route or where to actually go and what neccesaties ill need to take.

Hey Rob, welcome to the site. It is a long way in advance, but hey, plenty of time to enjoy the build-up as well ;)

Considering you have a fair bit of time, try planning some small solo trips for a couple of weeks at a time maybe (just cheap close locations) and see what you think of the experience. Oh, and this blog is a pretty good place to read up on solo travelling, road trips in particular:
