Ok,
How bad is it in november and december in Western Australia?
Just read it's worse over there (though the season is shorter) during certain periods.
Any advice from people over here, instead of the stories on the net elsewhere?
Cheers!
Mike

it depends on where you will be in Western Australia. If you are say Coral Bay and south you wilbe hot but ok. If you arenorth of that line at say Broome it wil be unbearably hot an humid and very little happening around town.

Uhm, sorry, I should have mentioned it in the thread as well, instead of only the title. I ment about the bush flies which seems to peak somewhere during that time and southwest oz seems quite bad compared to other places. Just want to check it with you guys
Last year wasnt very bad at all, it defers from year to year but hasnt been to bad lately and again it depends on where you are, plus i have lived hear all my live and may have a different view of wat is bad and wat isnt. It isnt something to worry that much about to put u off going.
not sure about WA but man, I was out in southern queensland in june... about 7 hours west or brisbane. and the flies were ridiculous. You couldn't talk to anybody without 3 or 4 of them flying into your mouth. There were always at least a dozen of them on your face, they go for the lips, eyes, nose and ears.
everybody laughed at me and told me that it's ten times worse in the summer! good luck!
Here in the south west of the state the flies arrive latish November. December is not good. Once we have had a couple of weeks of really hot weather which can start at Christmas then the flies start to disappear. Trying to eat outside (especially a barbeque) when the flies are bad is not fun. If you don't like flies then come over this way in late January/ February/March. You will still have hot weather but the fly situation is much better.

That's exactly what I intend to do, visiting next year if I can and avoiding a spoiled trip (I really get crancky of those flies, I just know it, even mosquitos are better)
