My boyfriend and I are having two weeks in Thailand in September/October and we're interested in doing a kayaking tour. We'd like to maybe do this through a national park like Khao Sok or somewhere we can see some animals, but we're worried this is going to break the bank a bit. Has anyone got any experience doing this or could reccommend somewhere? We're looking at doing maybe like a three day two night thing, but if that's outside our budget then maybe just a day tour. Really want to see some animals though, not just the caves.
Hope that's enough info! Thanks!

Search the L:onley planet (thorn Tree) and other sites for this.
THere seem to be some great opportunities here but on lot who offer tours on Khao Sok got a right pasting a few months back - second-rate kayaks and surly reaction to complaints.
I have kayaked on Khao Sok - a bit - but privately - not with a tour group and I think to make the best of it, your need a group.
There are some floating raft-hurts on the lake and if you have your own Kayak, they will take them over there for you on a long-tail....unfortunately the place was very booked up when I was there and we couldn't take advantage of it.
