when I embed and URL link in a post it's hot in the preview but not after I actually publish it. a typical link would look like this
Photos from the trip can be found here
but in the actual published post the "here" is not hot or underlined at all.

Huh, that's weird. Looks like a bug. Thanks for telling us about it - it should be fixed soon!
(Sam/Peter: any idea what's up? You can see in martys' profile that the link is there, but it doesn't appear linked in the actual blog post.)
I actually just found this earlier today when putting up a post. I'm 99% sure it's based on an 'upgrade' put in place last week. I'll see if I can fix it tonight, but otherwise Peter will probably fix this up in the morning. Sorry about that.
ps. try this for now as an alternative:

Should come out like this: Travel Photos
thanks very much folks.
now can you fix the bug where the Fahrenheit temp reverts to Celsius when you edit a published post? ;-)

this works, thanks!
Right, managed to fix that first bug. Cute little sucker that was; hiding somewhere very unexpected!
Had no idea there was a bug with F to C. Let me go see if I can track that one down!

very easy to repro - create a post with a farenheight temp in it. publish it. then edit the post and the temp value reverts to the celcius value although its still displayed in farenheight. probably and array indexing bug into the temp lookup table.
thanks for your quick responses to these issues!

And this should now be fixed too
