Hi -

My wife and I are planning on going to Rio De Janeiro. We can either go in early April or mid May. We are beach goers and would like to spend the week on the beach. Are either of the 2 months listed better for the sunny weather.

In looking at the weather statistics it looks as if April may be wetter. Is that true?

Also, would you suggest Ipanema or Copacabana Beach?

Thank you - Paul

for the decision between copacabana and ipanema:
i prefer ipanema , its the better area to have the hotel and to go out. for going to the beach, it doesnt really matter where u stay. its in walking distance to change between the 2 beaches - or a cab if you are lazy ..

boa viagem !

Our wet season is the summer, so it's beggining now. In March is usually still raining a lot, so May will probably be a better decision.
Two votes for Ipanema.

I agree with the brazilian concering wet time!

I stay in Arpador usually that is the endof ipanema and in 5 minutes walking you can be to copacabana!
