Cheap 1 way car hire in Canada

Hi all,
Im looking at hiring a car in Canada going from Vancouver to Calgary. Im after the hire for 4 full days and it seems very, very expensive! I realise its always going to be more to get a 1 way hire, but was just wondering if anyone had a good experience of a particular company? I got a quote from Hertz for £192....and the cheapest so far has been £180. There doesnt really seem to be an alternative though as no buses seem to run from Banff (which is where im going from Vancouver) to Calgary.

Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.

You could look into some of these drive away companies to get from Vancouver to Calgary then rent from one of the inexpensive car rental companies in Calgary,Drive aways are basically free you just put up a deposit of several hundred dollars which you get back upon delivery,down side is you have to drive directly to your destination.I think they give you a 12 to 14 hour time window to get the car delivered.

Not sure what drivers licensing requirements are needed.
